I have experienced a number of Windows stop error code "EA" over the past week or so. I am running dual GTX 260 Core 216's and just changed to the 181.22 driver hoping it would fix the problem. Has anybody else run into the Windows stop error EA lately?

(Unfortunately I've changed a number of things lately so cannot specifically point to one distinct change that is a likely cause.)

Thanks for the reply Paul. I've had both cards since the early fall and have been able to use them successfully. I had a failed power supply so replaced it with a beefier one, and upgraded from 180.48 to current around the same time and these stop errors started, so was unable to attribute it to a single event or change.

To get maximum crunching performance from them, I do not run them in SLI mode. I was curious if other participants here had run into this problem recently (perhaps due to a change in WU logic or something), or whether it was unique to me.

I appreciate the feedback Paul. I just bought a new Corsair 1000HX up from 800 Watts on the failed PSU. I had upgraded my drivers from 180.84 to 185.20 as well. I have backed off to 181.22 and things have been stable for the last 24 hours...so it may have been a glitch with the 185.xx uber beta drivers that came out last fall. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

As for the quality of the PSU, I did some research before buying it to get one of the better ones on the market, and to position myself for a possible 3rd GTX 200 series graphics card in my main crunching box.

If i continue to experience problems, I think my next step would be to take one card out and see what happens then. Thx!

I miss sometimes, so it is nice when we do hear of success ...

The 181.22 drivers seem to be the sweet spot for now ... later I am sure we will find another higher version that we will settle on ... sadly, it costs us time and work to find out ... now I have production systems I will likely stay with the 181.22 until I have to move ... :)

I put a 1K in with my two GTX 295s just to be on the safe side. I also bought a 1600 when I paniced one night ... no loss, I will be building anther system later this year and it will be a three slot MB at least so it won't go to waste... I am also looking to do a dual CPU system again ... I would love to do a 8 core Xeon someone pointed me to as coming out soon ... with two chips that would be 16 CPUs, with HT, 32 ... makes one's mouth water ...
