I noticed today that seti's cuda app was not triggering performance 3d clocks... I also found that GPU grid's app isn't triggering them either.

GPU's have a low power mode... (like CPU's..) It will lower the clock speeds to save power when not running a 3d app. Sometimes the GPUgrid app gets low power 3d clocks, other times its only 2d clocks.. (2d clock is 300 mhz, low power 3d is 400 mhz, performance 3d is 650mhz... Those are core speeds)

I have Rivatuner running on all my Windows boxes to check the temperature and speed of the GPUs. The GTX2xx cards have power saving modes.
