Hi,
I have created a discord channel for GPUGRID. It kind of duplicates this in some aspects but maybe people are more used to Discord.
It is an additional channel that may help to build up the community.

It will eliminate the DDOS mechanism this website employs hindering communication.
Discord is a good platform for communication. I use it a lot for team communication and BOINC project discussion.
Glad to see GPUGrid with a channel now on Discord. |

Discord is a chit chat site for gamers. It continuously scrolls and important info will vanish into the mist unless meticulously curated with useful contributions pinned. This forum maintains a permanent record that is filled with knowledge and is easily searched and linked. The most knowledgeable BOINCers post here and if they move to Discord their contributions will vaporize.
Sorry, not a fan of Discord. |

Hm, OK. I think Reddit is really better for the task.

Why should I take on something new when the project has sent me no work?
Is there a problem with my computer.
I am only recently back to BOINC after years away. In my previous adventure with GPUGRID I amassed 17,000,000 credits. That was on a much different machine but the current machine should be good.
Why have I not received any tasks?
I would like that answered before I try something new.
Thanks.

You haven't asked for any work likely.
Have you selected all applications?
Have selected test applications?
You don't have enough memory in your gpu.
Minimum memory requirement is at least 8GB and preferably more than 11GB.
I suggest you use your computer elsewhere with less requirements. |

This isn’t really the appropriate thread for this.
But these tasks require large amounts of VRAM. What GPU do you have? Most of them need at least 12GB and some need even more up to 16GB. If you have a smaller amount of VRAM like 4-8GB, you will get a lot of errors.

Thanks a lot .... low memory in GPU.

Any ideas on how to address what he's doing wrong? |
