Hi:

Any thought given to promoting this website to gamers and their high powered GPUs in their PCs? Rather than using just their PCs to play games, their CPUs and GPUs could be put to use that would benefit humanity as a whole.

Any thought given to promoting GPUGRID.NET to the online gaming community?

Clive

I think the problem with trying to promote this project to gamers, is they LOVE to OC their machines to the bleeding edge. Which isn't good for the work units here. Some OC is ok, but go to far and errors pile up quickly. A glitch here and flicker there while game playing isn't a big thing to gamers but to these work units proves unstable enough to trash alot of work.

The project cannot supply enough tasks to the users that currently participate. That keeps even regular BOINC users away.

i am surprised they did not get om the gridcoin graylist or blacklist. The fact the take GRC donations might have helped keep them off.

I am surprised too. I guess the slow release of the old acemd2 tasks for Windows users was enough to satisfy the "must have tasks" criteria for gridcoin.

They must not keep up with project changes. DHEP is still whitelisted and it's a dead project.

At this point, there is absolutely no need, to promote this project to anybody, as it currently cannot even supply enough work to the current volunteer base.

GPUGRID may not need promotion but Folding@home definitely needs it. They wish to have 1 million crunchers (of which they have 1/10th that.)

Their web support must be crowd sourced. Support is spread around their blog, facebook, their forum, GitHub, reddit, steemit, twitter, discord, and slack to name a few.

Gridcoin.us shows DHEP as whitelisted but their so called "day to day" list
https://gridcoinstats.eu/project
shows it as a "Past Project" at the very top of the "not available for rewards" list.

There is an old saying "too many hands spoil the pot". In this case I suspect there are too many pots.

I cant believe I did not check this after posting.
"om" should be "on" and "the take" should be "that they take"

I think one of the spell checkers did this on purpose

I figured for sure they would have that much but not even 1/100. Just under 7800 have returned credit in the past week going by EoC stats. And about 1700 of that on 2x Coin teams.
