Hi.
I found a graphics card lying around in one of my dad's boxes ("AMD Radeon HD 6700 series"). I swapped my GTX780 with the alt card to see how well it works. The task that boinc was still working on for GPU-grid while I had put in the alternate card said "card missing", which is fine. I get that it waits for the card that was used to start the WU to come back.
I since then I swapped the 780 back in my computer. But since then every single WU from GPUgrid has given me "COMPUTATION ERROR" in the first 3 seconds of WUs starting. Don't get it why? I uninstalled AMD catalyst control center and did a fresh reinstall of the NVIDIA drivers to make sure everything can work again. I even removed the GPUgrid project from the BOINC manager assuming maybe some files have changed to accomodate the alternate card, which caused conflicts. Nothing worked. Both long runs and short runs return "computation error" as the status with my 780 back in my sweet computer. :{ halp
