This Thread is for everybody who repaired his Graphiccard in a bit unconfentional Way :)

Palit 560TI 448 Core Edition (Dead Dual GPU Fans)

Costs: 0 Euro ;)
Done in: ~1 Hour incl. Full PCB cleaning

It's interesting that you've put the fans such way to the heatsink that they will pull the air from the heatsink.
It's quite the opposite of the usual way.
I wonder how much cooling the other components on the PCB have this way.
I'm using Noctua NF-A9x14 and Scythe Kaze jyu 100mm 2000 rpm (SY1025SL12M) fans to replace the original ones (to save them for the time when I sell my used cards).
It's not my card, but I'm doing the same:

I was wondering too when i mounted them but the Palit Fans are build in the same way, Because they didnt rotate anymore i cant imagine the direction anymore.

I dont get more than 70 degress on the GPU Die but your right, perhaps the vram is getting more hot. Perhaps i can measure the temperature with my laser measuring tool anytime soon, but the computer has a very bad position where i cant get near to it while it runs active.

When the fans push the air through the heatsink's fins (this is the "usual" airflow direction), the air gets hot, and this hot air should cool the VRAM and the VRM's FETs. So I really don't know which direction is better. Maybe this is different when there's more than one of this kind of heatsink in the same box, but in this instance they will heat each other up regardless of the airflow direction of their heatsinks.
