Greets! I've been crunching for 4 years on PC's but am a newbie to GPU. I followed the installation instructions from your main page. Everything is OK until I try to get the BOINC 6.3.10 vista 64 bit client (boinc_6.3.10_windows_x86_64.exe). The file I downloaded is supposed to be 7.43 MB but the one received is 923 KB and dies with an init error. I deleted it and attempted to download it directly from boinc.berkely.edu/dl/ and again it is 923 KB. I'm not sure why. Any help on how to get the BOINC exe would be appreciated. Thanks!

I installed the client, attached to the project and downloaded wu's. All of them received a comp error immediately.

Which driver do you use for your graphic card? Check this site. Should be >= 177.67

Are you sure you have BOINC NOT installed as a service (protected application execution mode)?
If you installed it with the defaults it'll be installed as a service which causes errors with the GPU detection. Instead of
Coprocessor: Device Emulation (CPU)(1) it should show the name of your GPU!

I think that is the problem. I just let the install program run. How do I install it not as a service? Thanks!

Just click on the "Advanced" button on the configuration screen of the installer and un-check the checkbox called "Protected application execution".

Thanks to everyone. I think this fixed it but unfortunately I've had too many comp errors and have reached my daily quota for work sent :( I'll post again if it did not work. Again ... THANKS!
