My Q6600 is equipped with a 8500GT, reported as compatible, so i gave it a go.
However, first WU is only to be finished after an estimated 120 hr, which is out of 96 hr deadline. Or is the estimated time not linear?

Can the deadline be extended or should i give up?

Please advice

Kind regards and happy crunching

Alain

Regrettably, the 8500 is too slow. You can find a list of the cards suitable for crunching GPUGRID work elsewhere in the forums.

OK thanks, I leave it for the big boys then. Back to normal CPU crunching. But now I know what to look for in my next PC

Happy crunching

8500GT is fine for folding@home and it uses hardley any CPU. The work units take about 16hrs
