I had an 8800GT running just fine but had to re-install Vista Ultimate from scratch (HD foo-faa). Hmm... Seems the forum has a bug - I moved your post to the correct forum and your post disappeared - I'm really sorry about that! Are you sure you haven't installed BOINC in protected application execution mode (as a service)?
