Both reporters with Beta app failures are getting error 0xc0000135, the standard "The application failed to intialize properly" error generated when a required DLL is missing.

Same here, 2 units on 2 different computers failed with - exit code -1073741515 (0xc0000135)

I tried to open the file with Dependency Walker client_state.xml

If you want something else, thank you to answer me. I don't have any answers for you, but I would like to say I'm amazed with you're computers. When they get the bugs worked out and get the Titans working, you'll become the number 1 cruncher, I can't believe you have 8 of them (Titans).
ID: 30140 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
I do not have 8 titans, but one TITAN, but every test I, the program adds a computer, then it is always the same.
ID: 30141 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/63176535/client_state.xml Thank you - that was enough. The application appears to have a dependency on TCL84.DLL, but a different version - TCL85.DLL - has been supplied with the download and referenced in the <app_version>.

If you want me to try to recalculate the GPUGRID units, leave me a message.

I do not have 8 titans, but one TITAN, but every test I, the program adds a computer, then it is always the same. You need to merge all the computers in you're account.
ID: 30147 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
What should be done to merge the accounts?
ID: 30148 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
Not accounts, computers. Log in to you're account, click on view computers, at the bottom you should see "Merge computers by name".

Ohar, yes, I buggered that up. Thanks for catching it.Updating the app now.
ID: 30164 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
Should non-Titan owners deselect Beta apps, or will the updated app also work for other GPU types (GeForce 600 cards)?
ID: 30165 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
The update should work for all gpus currently supported.

Don't know if I did this correctly but I set my machine with the two Titans to run test apps only (no long, short, beta boxes ticked), and it downloaded two WUs, a long and a short.
ID: 30174 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
I have one of the betas "Completed and validated".

I have one of the betas "Completed and validated". I thought those were just for Titan GPU's?

I also received a short GIANNI, and it errored out after 1 second on my Titan:
ID: 30179 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
GIANNI_VIL1 are not beta tasks and should fail on titans.

Operator, Uncheck the Project Preferences option to run other WU's, if no work is available for your chosen apps, Don't know if I did this correctly but I set my machine with the two Titans to run test apps only (no long, short, beta boxes ticked), and it downloaded two WUs, a long and a short. ____________ FAQ's HOW TO: - Opt out of Beta Tests - Ask for Help

I received 1 on my 660TI. Completed and validated in 66.50 seconds?
ID: 30199 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
Operator, Uncheck the Project Preferences option to run other WU's, if no work is available for your chosen apps, So I did that leaving just the test apps box ticked and when I update the prefs it goes back and selects all apps. So I unchecked everything again and selected only the beta apps tick box and made sure the accept other WUs was unchecked. Now I'm getting that there are no WUs available. This is all using the prefs for "Home" not the default ones. The box with the Titans in it is set to use the Home prefs. Sorry if I seem obtuse. Operator ____________

If you want something else, thank you to answer me. I suggest that you check his computer link again. It's an 8-core FX-8350 with one, and only one, Titan. ____________

I suggest you reread the thread, he detached and reattached 8 times, he needed to merge all 8 computers in to 1 which he hadn't done at the time I looked at his profile.

And about the Titan/780 crunch, any news?
ID: 30434 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
I'm standing by to test the beta app, whenever new workunits become available. In the meantime my Titan will continue to crunch Einstein (5 concurrent workunits in sp mode *grin*) or Milkyway (6 concurrent workunits in dp mode *grin*).

More beta workunits available.

More beta workunits available. Thank you sir. I tried 8 of them and all errored out in about 3 secs. I am using the latest driver (320.18). I'm assuming you get the stderr file back when this happens? Operator ____________
ID: 30447 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
I tried 8 of them and all errored out in about 3 secs. I am using the latest driver (320.18). 'exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005)' At least one of them was successfully completed by a GTX 660 Ti, so it isn't a configuration issue this time.

This workunit failed on another 660 Ti and finished ok on a 550 Ti (Fermi). A Kepler problem? And it was also a resend from the 27th.

Well, I'm not to certain how long these are supposed to take, but so far, they're not so short on my 780. Running one now with nothing else on BOINC allowed besides the BETA:

Anybody seen the latest points update - looks like these failed work units are effecting the tally board.

Ouch.. there's recently been a massive spree of Noelia klebe for the beta app 6.53. As far as I can tell they fail on pretty much every system. Not sure if these were ment for Titans only. Opting out of them for now.
ID: 30717 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
Have done 17 Noelia beta tasks on Linux, no issues.

Beta app is for windows only. Will be for linux also?
ID: 30893 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
Hm didn't know that. Then maybe MJH meant that it worked locally on our Linux Titans? Sorry for the confusion. Well in any case, it's Windows we want to test right now.
ID: 30894 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
The units are still in error. I tested several versions of Boinc and Geforce driver with the same result.
ID: 30895 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
@Zarck Yes I was watching your machine. Actually right now all the beta WUs seem to fail which would rather point to a general problem in the new app and not just the Titans. Once this batch is done I will pass on the information.

Any update on this front?
ID: 31052 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
Unfortunately our developer for the TITANs (and their kind) comes back in July so we will have to wait a bit more. But it is quite high on our priorities to fix the problem with the new GPU's considering that eventually everyone will switch to the new generation (and they provide great performance boost).

Not the best news, but thank you for the update. Will keep crunching at Einstein. Keep up the great work, and look forward to bringing my 780 over here.

The latest NOELIA_1MG beta units were running fine on my windows 7 computer, until I received a "run time limit exceeded error". It happened at the 55 minute mark. So what going on with this?

There has been no announcement that these NOELIA_1MG WU's are specifically intended for Titan's. Same here. 8 betas, all failed on Windows. The only one that completer successfully was on Linux. Going to run out my cache and switch back for a while.

6 ACEMD beta received, all failed after 2298 seconds (38,3 minutes). <core_client_version>7.0.64</core_client_version> That's with a GTX Titan on Win7 64bit.
ID: 31240 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
Is there some sort of 57-minute-limit hard-coded into these?!? Following your assumption, I messed a little bit with the client_state file, while the last of the current beta units was running, and I guess it could be a too low fpops limit. By increasing the rsc_fpops_bound value of the running unit 3-fold from 2.5 *10^15 to 7.5 *10^15, the workunit was indeed running longer than the previous 2298 seconds and did finish in time. Most important, this workunit also validated ok with a GTX Titan on Win7 64bit! 100equ-NOELIA_1MG-0-1-RND2150 <core_client_version>7.0.64</core_client_version> Two side notes: - the remaining time calculation on these units is wrong (as already noted) - when closing BOINC manager and apps, to edit the client_state file, it killed my nvidia driver for a second My suggestion is to increase the fpops limit of the current beta batch and to send them out anew? Dunno why Linux is not affected. I'm off for the weekend for some concert and festival, so I'll put my Titan off GPUGrid again. Nice weekend everyone!

What we lack: Even a single occurrence where a Windows Titan crunched a Beta app successfully. Hello Stefan, just in case you missed it, I had some valid results already w/ the small test units sent out end of May (related post here).
ID: 31242 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
Beorn, well done. | |
ID: 31248 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote

ID: 31268 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
Thank you. The (new?) batch sent out today still has the "Maximum elapsed time exceeded" problem apparently.
ID: 31367 | Rating: 0 | rate: / Reply Quote
They're not syncing up with CPU for whatever reason. I don't know if this is a problem, or the problem, but it seems rather odd.

I´m revamping my farm, and alrdy buy 3 new 770´s. Would be awesome if the GK110 works on GPUGRID. The 790 may be a double gk110 card, so... 770 should work now because it's GK104 = CC 3.0 card. 780,Titan are GK110 = CC 3.5 cards and there is beta for win only for now.
