This should solve the memory problems for small cards.
Windows version is 6.26.

I liked the temps of 156-GIANNI_TESTDHFR6-59-100-RND2829_0 http://www.gpugrid.net/result.php?resultid=2406496 & 157-GIANNI_TESTDHFR6-62-100-RND0985_0 http://www.gpugrid.net/result.php?resultid=2406432 but NOT the time spent 4-5hours!?

I remembered once that the temps on Windows & Linux used to be 60'ish now it always 80'ish & I have my windows open 24/7 (I'm freezing!)

I understand that there have been lots of optimization, but if WU's fail due to heat, it doesn't help to speed up the project. I could spend money for better PC cases, but when even laptop users want to get involved, there's lots of waste due to heat.

Now that acemd is out & only acemd2 & acemdbeta remains, isn't there space enough to squeeze in a low spec/low heat que?

The slow WU are probably given by the sync bug of some linux systems.
It is solved by setting the variable SWAN_SYNC=0.

The question is how? There's a guide on changing/adding environment variables on Linux here: http://www.comptechdoc.org/os/linux/usersguide/linux_ugenvironment.html but I'm lost! Can you help to point out exactly what I have to do?
