The automotive & aerospace industry have the resources to make actual mockups & test them in wind tunnels. Smaller & Medium sized business don't have that kind of money. If the goal with Open Source is to help come with an affordable alternative, in this case, through BOINC & GPUGRID.net what about offering people of lesser financial means, methods of running virtual simulations of different models & how they will do in a virtual wind tunnel.

That this might help not only small business' but the overall public, now having more & better products to choose from.

If Weather Patterns can be predicted through BOINC, Medical Research done, & even Animations. What about Aerodynamics, crash tests, & other simulation of real world factors effecting different designs & form factors?

Looks like this idea might be useful if GPUGRID had the financial means to hire at least one more programmer to write the programs needed.
